Screen Printing Information
Transparencies must be transferred (burned) on to a tightly stretched screen that has been properly cleaned, degreased, and coated. After the image is transferred (or burned) on to the screen it must be washed again. After which it must be taped before it can be placed on the press. Each color in a design requires an individual screen. Brightly colored images that are screen printed on dark colored garments tend to appear dull unless a white under base is first screened onto the dark colored garment. As a result these images require an additional screen charge for the under base.

If you already have a high quality picture or preferably a high quality computer graphic file Soaring Hawks does not apply an art charge to your order. At Soaring Hawks we work with several quality graphic artist who can generate a design for you - these charges start at $35.00 and the sky is the limit depending on how intricate your specifications. The average art charge is around $60.00. If you need the services of a graphic artist or if you have a low quality image or bitmap we would be happy to issue a quote.
